TURNER PROCESS EQUIPMENT LIMITED is pleased to announce that it has been appointed the new representative of BRT Recycling Technologie GmbH for both the UK and Irish markets. In joining forces with BRT, Turners appointment now strengthens BRT’s already prominent position within the UK recycling sector.

BRT’s complete range of equipment encompasses individual dedicated solutions to materials handling and processing within any modern day recycling facility. From MSW through to construction waste BRT can provide a tailor made solution to match the exact requirements of any given application.

BRT’s range of equipment includes the SCHLITZ-O-MAT bag opener, feed and metering hoppers, CARG-O-MAT moving floor systems, bale breakers, bottle perforators, ballistic separators and SEP-O-MAT waste paper sorting system. Each Model can be adapted to suit special applications ensuring each supplied item always exceeds our customers expectations.

The BRT SCHLITZ-O-MAT bag opener has proven to be a market leader for the opening of plastic bags containing a wide diversity of materials. In contrast to other opening systems available, the SCHLITZ-O-MAT manages to process even the most difficult of materials utilising its unique combination of clamping arm arrangements, individual hydraulic cylinders and special ripping drum construction, whilst maintaining a high percentage opening rate of up to 95%.

Reliability has been proven in over 250 machines supplied worldwide, with over 20 operating here in the UK. The robust construction techniques adopted by BRT have become their trademark and ensure that each machine supplied can handle even the most harsh of environments.

In combining all the above attributes experience has shown us that costs for wear and spare parts for the first 4000 hours of operation are less than 4% of a machine’s purchase price, thus ensuring operating and maintenance costs are kept to a minimum. Buffer storage prior to the opening device is provided utilising BRT’s feed and metering hopper, with varying hopper volumes selected to facilitate feeding intervals of 3-4 times per hour.

Throughput rate can be adapted utilising the infinitely adjustable ripping drum speed. The higher opening rate and dosing effect associated with BRT’s equipment is responsible for sorting quality, which only the SCHLITZ-O-MAT renders possible.
